Nathan and Suzie

Nathan and Suzie

Nathan and Suzie would like to be parents but so far have not pursued this. They are aware that living with severe mental illness has implications for conception, pregnancy, relationships and parenting.

People with severe mental illness experience discrimination and social exclusion, being a parent is a very ordinary human experience but is something that people from all walks of life and perspectives aspire to.

Children growing up in families where a parent is living with severe mental illness report that they are disadvantaged and socially excluded in a number of ways.
